Discord announced this Tuesday (29) a new Ads Manager for creating and measuring campaigns and a redesigned version of the Video Quests, now focused on mobile devices. The products enter beta with selected advertisers still in 2026 and are expected to gain self-service access in early 2027.
The main change is reducing dependence on Discord's sales team to advertise on the platform. With Ads Manager, smaller studios, brands and marketing professionals will be able to set up campaigns, project reach and track results directly through the tool.
The system will have auction-based delivery and objective-oriented bids, allowing adjustments according to campaign performance.
Video Quests get a shorter format on mobile
The new version of Video Quests was designed for quick interactions on mobile. The user will be able to tap the ad, watch 15 seconds of video and receive rewards, such as Orbs, the platform's virtual currency.
The previous format will now be called Video Quests Reserve and will remain available as a premium option sold directly by Discord, outside Ads Manager.
The company began expanding its advertising operation in 2024 with Quests and has been adding new formats since then. According to data released by Discord itself in March, campaigns recorded a 96% median completion rate.
With the new tools, the platform expands its advertising infrastructure for awareness, installation and engagement campaigns. Access, however, will remain limited during the beta before the self-service opening planned for early 2027.
