eBay will begin changing, on November 4, 2026, the way eligible sellers in the United States receive the money from their sales. With the expansion of eBay balance, on-demand withdrawals will become the default setting, replacing even previous automatic bank transfer schedules.

In practice, sellers who currently receive payments daily, weekly, every two weeks or monthly may need to reconfigure that frequency. Otherwise, available funds will remain in the platform balance until they are used or withdrawn.

The rollout will be gradual and will cover eligible private sellers and individual entrepreneurs who sell products on eBay.com. The company said it will notify users when the new system is enabled in their accounts.

The updated terms took effect on October 21 for new sellers enrolled in the program. For existing users, the expected date is November 4.

Sellers will be able to restore automatic transfers

The change does not represent the end of scheduled payments. eBay will continue to allow daily, weekly, biweekly and monthly transfers, but affected sellers will need to select the desired option again after the migration.

The adjustment can be made in the payments section of Seller Hub, in the payout settings. The practical recommendation is to check the selected frequency as soon as the platform announces the activation of eBay balance.

The system will also allow accumulated funds to be used for purchases on the marketplace and expenses related to sales, such as shipping labels and promoting listings.

Enrollment in eBay balance will be automatic for eligible sellers after identity verification. Sales amounts, after applicable fees are deducted, will be directed to the balance.

Under the new terms, sellers will be able to request withdrawal of available funds at any time. The documentation also provides for automatic transfers of remaining amounts in certain situations of prolonged inactivity.

The change is restricted to eligible sellers in the United States, with no equivalent announcement of global implementation.
