The alleged GTA 6 leaker, identified as CyberLeek, released two more gameplay videos on Saturday (22), defying Take-Two Interactive's subpoenas to Microsoft and Discord to identify him. Reported by IGN on Saturday (22).
The videos are the seventh and eighth leaks of the week. One shows supercars and an armed robbery; the other, scenes at a nightclub. The publication included a provocative scene in which a character says he needs to “take a leak.” There is concern that the leaker has access to a version of the game and could release important story spoilers.
Take-Two tries to identify the responsible party
On Thursday (20), Take-Two filed subpoenas under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) requesting that Microsoft and Discord provide identifying data for accounts associated with several Discord servers, including one linked to Australian content creator Matthew “Matt” Judge, also known as DarkViperAU. Judge denied involvement.
On Wednesday (19), the company sent a copyright removal notice to GitHub, stating that “the infringer is sharing content stolen from our copyrighted works” and that “the entire repository must be completely disabled.”
The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York authorized the subpoena to Microsoft on Friday (21). Xbox's chief technology officer, Scott Van Vliet, said the company is “working closely with Take-Two and Rockstar Games to support efforts to protect creative works and intellectual property.”
Discord, in response to Variety, said it receives DMCA-related subpoenas and that it “reviews and complies with valid subpoenas when it receives them, as is standard and routine for companies like ours.”
Rockstar and Take-Two did not issue a statement.
Rockstar investigates the source of the leaks
According to Bloomberg, Rockstar still does not know how the leaks happened or who is behind them. The agency reported that there is frustration and anger internally and that there are no plans to postpone the big Netflix reveal next week.
Netflix teased a preview of “Grand Theft Auto 6: An Extended Look,” scheduled for Thursday (27). The presentation will be exclusive on the platform for six hours before being made available on other channels, such as YouTube.
GTA 6 is scheduled for November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S.
