Sony Interactive Entertainment and Arc System Works announced three new characters for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls during Evo France 2026, held on Sunday (11). Thor in the Jane Foster version, Venom, and Jubilee will join the game's first additional content pass, with releases scheduled throughout 2027.
The presentation also revealed the full schedule for the Year 1 Characters & Stage Pass, which begins in November 2026 and runs through the summer of 2027 in the Northern Hemisphere. In addition to the three characters, the expansion will include a new stage set in Klyntar, the symbiotes' home planet in the Marvel universe.
Character pass will have releases spread out through the summer of 2027
The first planned content is Phoenix Cyclops, with release confirmed for November 2, 2026. This version of Cyclops, equipped with the powers of the Phoenix Force, had already been showcased on October 7, when the developer detailed his combat mechanics and the additional Classic and Legacy costumes.
The three new additions announced at Evo France will arrive later. Jane Foster is scheduled for the winter of 2027, followed by Venom and the Klyntar stage in the spring. Jubilee will close out the announced schedule, with a release planned for the summer of the same year.
The seasonal windows correspond to the Northern Hemisphere seasons and do not yet represent definitive dates. For now, Phoenix Cyclops is the only character in the pass with a specified release date.
The event also featured a trailer dedicated to Jane Foster, offering a first visual demonstration of the character as Thor. The material highlights her appearance in the game and her use of the Mjölnir hammer, while Venom and Jubilee received confirmations of their participation in the future roster.
Developed by Arc System Works, the studio behind the Guilty Gear series, Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is a fighting game with teams of four characters. The title was released in August 2026 and is available for PlayStation 5 and PC, via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
