METRO: 2039 leads the list of nominees for gamescom award 2026, appearing in five categories. The gamescom organization announced the contenders on Monday (24), before the fair opens to the public in Cologne, Germany.
Alien: Isolation 2 and Denshattack! appear close behind, with four nominations each. Forza Horizon 6 and OPUS: Prism Peak received three nominations.
Developed by 4A Games and published by Deep Silver, METRO: 2039 competes for best visuals, most epic game, best PC game, best PlayStation game, and best Xbox game.
Alien: Isolation 2, from Creative Assembly and SEGA, competes for best visuals, best audio, best gameplay, and best PC game. Denshattack!, from Undercoders and Fireshine Games, appears in the categories of best audio, best gameplay, most fun game, and best Nintendo Switch 2 game.
SEGA totals eight nominations considering the games published by the company. In addition to the four nominations for Alien: Isolation 2, Total War: WARHAMMER 40,000 and STRANGER THAN HEAVEN each received two nominations.
