Microsoft confirmed it will remove the digital version of Toy Story 3 from the Xbox Store on September 29, 2026. After that date, players will no longer be able to purchase it, but those who already have it in their library will continue to have full access, and can download and play it on compatible consoles.
The removal paves the way for Toy Story 3: Complete Edition, a remastered version produced by Digital Eclipse, scheduled for October 15, 2026. The game will feature improved graphics, higher resolution, superior performance, and content that was previously exclusive to the PlayStation 3 version.
Classic Collection
On the same day, Digital Eclipse will release Toy Story: Retro Roundup. The collection brings together Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, Toy Story Racer, and As Aventuras de Flik, in addition to behind-the-scenes materials and interviews with the creators.
Toy Story 3 was originally released in 2010, alongside the premiere of the Pixar film. The game was praised for its Toy Box mode, which allowed players to create their own adventures and is considered a spiritual predecessor to Disney Infinity.
