The CD Projekt Red intends to launch The Witcher 4 in 2028, reported the co-CEO Michał Nowakowski in an update published by the company on Monday (24). More than 500 developers currently work on the project, described by the executive as the largest in the studio's history.
While the new game has yet to arrive, the company is preparing Songs of the Past, third expansion of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The content will be released in 2027 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Nowakowski anticipated that the expansion will have a "dark story". More details will be presented during Gamescom Opening Night Live.
