Claude Cowork is Anthropic’s agent for knowledge work — the counterpart to Claude Code, which focuses on programming. The user sets the goal and Cowork decides how to get there, operating on files, folders and connected systems.

How it works
- The user describes the expected result in natural language

- Connectors grant access to external services; local files come in through the workspace
- A built-in browser handles pages and systems that only exist on the web
- Output comes back as a document or editable file
