The Chinese company DeepSeek announced on Thursday (5) that its artificial intelligence agent platform, DeepSeek Harness, reached 1.54 million daily active users and a consumption of approximately 92 trillion tokens per day. The figures, referring to November 4, accompany the expansion of an ecosystem that already brings together around 35,000 plugins developed by third parties.

The growth occurred just over two months after the launch of the first version, on August 13. On September 30, one day after the debut of the desktop application, the platform had 271,000 daily active users. Since then, the base reported by the company has increased more than fivefold.

There is an important limitation in this comparison: the statistics consider only users who access Harness through DeepSeek's official API. The results were disclosed by the company itself, with no independent audit presented in the announcement.

The adoption of extensions also gained scale. According to DeepSeek, approximately 60% of active users have created or installed at least one third-party plugin. The company acknowledges, however, that these tools have different levels of maturity and suitability for the proposed tasks.

DeepSeek prepares incentives and official distribution for developers

Harness uses an open-source architecture in which models, tools, sessions and execution mechanisms can be organized through replaceable plugins. This structure allows AI agents to be adapted to different activities without depending exclusively on the features originally offered by the platform.

Among the examples presented by DeepSeek are extensions for content production, creation of visual materials, analysis of the context used by agents and reading of scientific articles. The project's technical documentation confirms that even core components, such as the model adapter and the agents' execution cycle, follow this modular architecture.

To organize the distribution of these tools, the company announced plans to create an official plugin store, intended to facilitate the publication of extensions by developers and their discovery by users. It also intends to improve the stability and compatibility of APIs and strengthen security mechanisms.

In parallel, DeepSeek is preparing a creator support program, with incentives in tokens, technical exchange and project promotion. The specific conditions will be defined based on the needs and feedback of the community.

The company also invited startups and other organizations to integrate products and services into Harness through plugins. So far, it has not announced a launch date for the official store or for the incentive program.
