In a letter to investors, Pearl Abyss reported that Crimson Desert sold 2.11 million copies in the second quarter of 2026 and that a DLC for the game is in development for release later this year.
Sales figures
According to the developer, digital sales totaled 1.72 million copies (82%) and physical sales, 0.39 million (18%). Operating revenue reached 406.2 billion South Korean won (about US$ 284.5 million) in the first and second quarters, a figure that includes revenue from Black Desert Online.
North America and Europe were the main markets, accounting for more than 75% of profit in the period.
DLC and next steps
Pearl Abyss said the DLC is being developed and that it will refine the content direction and overall quality before release. Details on pricing, content composition, and release date will be officially announced in the third quarter of 2026, according to the company.
The developer also cited initiatives to ensure the title's long-term success, including pricing strategies and platform expansion.
