Tron Inc. reported this Monday (24) that it bought another 145,002 TRX tokens at an average price of US$ 0.3448, raising its treasury to more than 711.2 million TRX. At the price reported for the acquisition, the position corresponds to about US$ 245 million.
The company, listed on Nasdaq under the ticker TRON, said it intends to continue increasing its digital asset reserve tied to the Tron network. The company also keeps public the on-chain address used to track its treasury.
Tron Inc.'s shares closed the session with a gain of 7.49%, to US$ 2.01, amid the continuation of the TRX accumulation strategy.
TRX becomes central piece of the strategy
The current treasury policy began in June 2025, when the then SRM Entertainment announced an investment of US$ 100 million earmarked for the creation of a corporate TRX reserve. At that time, Justin Sun, founder of the Tron blockchain, also became an advisor to the company.
The following month, the company changed its name to Tron Inc. and adopted the ticker TRON on Nasdaq. Documents filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) show that the change was made to reflect the company's transformation into a business focused on a token-based treasury strategy.
Since then, the position has grown from approximately 365 million TRX in June 2025 to more than 711 million currently. In February this year, the company said it intended to buy about US$ 50,000 in TRX per day for 360 consecutive days.
The expansion brings Tron Inc.'s behavior closer to the model adopted by companies that have made cryptocurrencies a significant part of their balance sheets. In this case, however, the strategy is concentrated in TRX, not in Bitcoin.
Treasury increases exposure to TRX price
With a position close to US$ 245 million, fluctuations in TRX now have a significant impact on the value of the assets held by the company.
This also means that new purchases, sales, or financing operations related to the treasury can gain weight in the market's valuation of the company.
The corporate acquisition, however, does not by itself represent an increase in the use of the Tron blockchain. The purchase expands Tron Inc.'s financial exposure to the asset, but it does not alter the token's supply, the protocol's rules, or the activity of users on the network.
The company itself says it intends to continue expanding its TRX treasury as part of its long-term strategy.
