The Practical Ecommerce website published this Wednesday (12) the weekly edition of new e-commerce tools. Highlights include the US$ 545 million raised by Whatnot, Adobe's plugin in ChatGPT, and the launch of WooCommerce 11.0.
Investments and expansion
Whatnot closed a US$ 545 million Series G round led by ICONIQ, Lightspeed, and Avra. The funds will go toward new seller tools, expanding the use of artificial intelligence, and growth in new markets. The live shopping platform says that, as of August 2026, it has already surpassed the gross merchandise volume (GMV) for the entire year of 2025.
RepSpark, a B2B platform for brands and retailers, announced a US$ 22 million strategic investment from Headlight Partners. The capital will be used to expand the enterprise suite, the integrations ecosystem, and AI tools.
Wayy.ai raised US$ 2 million in a pre-seed round led by Zero to One Ventures and launched a tool that acts as a virtual salesperson for freelancers and small businesses. The feature automates sales processes and identifies potential investors and partners.
Platforms and integrations
WooCommerce launched version 11.0, with optimized order screens and abandoned cart recovery tests. Adobe Commerce, a Magento-based platform, introduced the Catalog Agent, which enriches product pages with structured data for AI engines and LLM-based discovery systems.
Adobe also announced a plugin in ChatGPT. The integration brings together more than 70 tools from the creative and productivity suites, allowing users to edit photos, create campaign videos, generate PDFs, and design marketing materials.
Cainiao, from the Alibaba group, launched a three-day door-to-door delivery service for cross-border e-commerce, covering 15 international routes. ShipBob, in turn, presented an AI suite integrated into the entire operation, including software for merchants and robots in warehouses.
Updates were also announced from Kibo Commerce, with an agentic platform organized into five functions; from Minty, with a Shopify app that connects merchants to the buyer network; and from Knowband, which expanded integrations for PrestaShop. Rokt launched Brain V4, an AI tool for real-time checkout decisions, and Markable introduced video and 3D collage features for social commerce.
In the data segment, Eyeota and Zeotap integrated audience solutions into Amazon DSP, including channels such as Prime Video and Twitch. Wunderkind also partnered with Cordial for autonomous marketing and customer engagement.
