Floot proposes a different path to application creation: instead of its own editor, it connects to AI assistants the user already works with, such as Claude, ChatGPT or coding environments, through the model context protocol. Building happens in the conversation; the platform handles the rest.
That rest is exactly what prototypes usually lack: backend, database, logins, email sending, hosting and domain, plus payments and integrations such as Google and automation services. The outcome is a published application, not just a code file.
The approach is interesting for anyone whose workflow already runs through an assistant and who does not want to switch tools to put an idea live. It also suits teams that prefer to keep conversation as the main creation interface.
The company is based in San Francisco and took part in the Y Combinator programme.
