Muse is Meta’s personal AI agent. Instead of only answering questions, it does the work: it takes a goal, plans the steps and acts on the user’s behalf across the apps they already use.
What it is for
- Handling everyday tasks such as shopping, finances, health and personal organisation
- Researching and comparing options before a decision
- Browsing sites, filling forms and running multi-step flows
- Tracking long-term projects and goals and suggesting next steps
How it works
- Muse runs on a Muse Secure VM, a dedicated virtual machine that holds both the agent and the user’s data and includes its own browser
- It learns from conversations and keeps context about what matters to each person
- Access is granted by the user, who decides what the agent may see and do
- Conversation happens in the Muse app and in WhatsApp
Availability
- Rollout started on 8 September 2026 in the United States on iOS, Android and the web
- There is a free plan plus paid subscriptions; AI glasses versions were announced for later
