A Kalshi signed exclusive, multi-year agreements with five Major League Baseball (MLB) teams: Atlanta Braves, Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants. The partnerships were announced by the prediction market platform on Tuesday (25).
The contracts include brand presence in the stadiums, social media and digital channel campaigns, radio advertising and fan-focused initiatives. The initiative expands Kalshi's commercial presence in professional sports in the United States.
In the case of the Los Angeles Dodgers, the company will have LED panels with its brand around Dodger Stadium and the naming rights to the Gold Glove Bar. Also planned are fan-specific offers on the Kalshi app and in-person activations at Centerfield Plaza throughout the season.
The company said that the trading volume in baseball-related markets grew 36 times in one year. The statement, however, did not provide a comparison base or detail the methodology used to calculate the increase.
Agreements are separate from the MLB partnership with Polymarket
The partnerships announced by Kalshi were signed directly with the five clubs and do not replace the agreement maintained by MLB itself with Polymarket.
On March 19, the league named Polymarket as its official prediction market platform. The agreement grants the company exclusive access to MLB brands and logos for products in this segment, as well as official data provided by Sportradar and exposure on the league's digital channels and events.
The partnership between MLB and Polymarket also established integrity rules to restrict markets considered most vulnerable to manipulation, including contracts related to individual pitches, managerial decisions and umpire performance. The league said it intends to maintain integrity relationships with other platforms that offer baseball-related contracts.
Kalshi, in turn, continues to discuss with MLB a possible separate league-level agreement, according to Reuters.
