The WisdomTree announced on Tuesday (29) the creation of the WisdomTree Onchain identity, which brings together its tokenized funds, investment platforms and blockchain infrastructure. The reorganization comes after the assets of its tokenized funds surpassed US$ 1.2 billion, compared with approximately US$ 770 million at the beginning of 2026.

The asset manager now brings together under the same structure products aimed at individual investors, financial institutions and developers. Currently, its portfolio includes 15 funds registered with the SEC, distributed across eight public blockchains and with exposure to equities, fixed income, money market and alternative strategies.

The change is primarily organizational. Instead of replacing its existing platforms, the company intends to integrate them commercially and expand their use in blockchain-based financial services.

The new identity encompasses WisdomTree Prime, an app aimed at American investors, and WisdomTree Connect, which allows institutions and distributors to access tokenized funds through a portal and an API. It also incorporates the infrastructure responsible for issuing and administering these funds.

WisdomTree prepares expansion of tokenized fund trading

One of the next steps is the development of Onchain Markets, a platform designed to expand the trading of tokenized funds on the secondary market, potentially including ETFs. The company has not yet set a launch date.

The project leverages the infrastructure already used by the WisdomTree Treasury Money Market Digital Fund (WTGXX), a money market fund that offers liquidity on the secondary market 24 hours a day, including on weekends. Trades are intermediated by WisdomTree Securities and depend on asset availability and market conditions.

This model also allows stablecoin issuers to use WTGXX in the composition of their reserves, with the possibility of conversion to USDC. Companies can use the product for cash management, while financial institutions can integrate the tokenized funds into their own services.

Commercial expansion also gained a new front in September, when WisdomTree announced a collaboration with MoonPay to expand access to WTGXX among eligible investors in the United States. The partner has a platform with more than 35 million accounts globally.

With the reorganization, the asset manager seeks to expand the distribution of traditional financial products on blockchain infrastructure, using its existing operations as a base for new institutional and trading services.
