The Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA) made public this Saturday (15) more than 2,000 pages of documents from the processes that authorized 85 companies to operate fixed-odds betting in Brazil. The measure is part of the secretariat's active transparency policy and allows public access to the technical analyses that supported the concessions.
The disclosed files include a technical opinion on legal qualification, a technical opinion on suitability analysis, a technical opinion on the origin of funds, an opinion on the payment of the grant, and a final analysis report. The documents gather and systematize information from the administrative processes, detailing the steps and criteria considered in each authorization.
Gradual disclosure
The disclosure will be gradual. New batches of documents and information related to the authorization processes will still be made available after adjustments to the General Data Protection Law (LGPD). SPA stated that it will not compromise personal data or confidential information.
iGaming Business found that the documents contain names of partners and executives with redactions on their CPFs. Certificates and reports from the Federal Police regarding alleged criminal practices related to the companies also appear redacted.
